From the Save-on parking lot we rode west down Rose Avenue until we came across this oddity on Main Street in Venice.

Nearby I found these binoculars sitting on the sidewalk.

I thought Stanley might like to use them at the beach, but he said they were too big for him. So we left them behind.

"I'm hungry," I said. "I haven't eaten anything yet today, and if I'm going to ride this bicycle all over Venice Beach, then I think we need to stop first for a bite to eat. Is that okay, Stanley?"

"Excellent idea," said Stanley. "I'm hungry too."

"Excellent," I said. And here you can see the picture I took of Stanley just about to dig into an unbuttered bun with lettuce and tomato. I ordered the fish and chips.
