"Excellent." And off we went. We rode on the bike path north back to Santa Monica (my city), arriving finally at the Santa Monica pier.

Here I held the camera out and took this portrait of me and Stanley standing together on the beach near the south side of the pier. (Actually, Stanley was standing on my shoulder.)
